Adhira & Appa Café Expands to Nagpur, Targets 100 Cafés

The EBG Group, a major Indian conglomerate, has marked a significant step in its national expansion by inaugurating a new outlet of its flagship Adhira & Appa Café in Nagpur. The café, launched at Poonam Chambers on Chhaoni Road, is part of an ambitious plan to open over 100 outlets across India by the end of 2026.

A Grand Inauguration with a Vision

The new 900-square-foot Nagpur outlet was formally opened by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari. Gurukkal Dr S Mahesh attended as the Guest of Honour, offering his blessings for the venture. The café is designed to be a hub for good food, premium coffee, and meaningful community interactions.

At its core, Adhira & Appa Café is built on a philosophy of sustainability and authenticity. All coffee served uses authentic South Indian filter coffee as its base, a deliberate choice to honour tradition while ensuring high quality. The brand's processes are designed to maintain a carbon footprint significantly lower than conventional coffee-serving methods.

Where Tradition Meets Innovation on the Plate

The Nagpur café introduces a distinctive fusion menu that creatively blends Western culinary concepts with classic South Indian flavours. This innovative approach is evident in signature dishes like dosa tacos and medu vada waffles. This menu strategy aims to offer a unique experience that stands out in India's competitive café market.

Speaking at the launch, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari praised the initiative, stating it reflects a thoughtful blend of tradition and innovation. He emphasized that ventures promoting indigenous flavours and creating community spaces are vital for strengthening local entrepreneurship and cultural identity.

Rapid National Expansion on the Horizon

The Nagpur launch is a key milestone in EBG Group's aggressive growth strategy for the café chain. Following successful openings in Kochi, Chandigarh, Nashik, and Hyderabad, the group is now targeting major urban centres like Indore, Pune, and Bengaluru in the coming months.

Dr Irfan Khan, Chairman and Founder of EBG Group, highlighted that the brand's appeal lies in offering an authentic alternative to global coffee chains through its focus on premium beans and sustainable practices. Mr Karan Mendon, COO of Adhira & Appa Café, expressed confidence that Nagpur's vibrant community would embrace their offering of tradition, sustainability, and connection.

Backed by strong early momentum, the group plans to open over 50 new outlets by March 2026 and scale up to 100 cafés across India by December 2026. Over the next five years, Adhira & Appa Café aims to establish a nationwide presence, targeting both major metropolitan areas and key Tier-2 cities.
