Bengaluru Bodybuilder's Tragic Suicide Linked to Alleged Harassment by Married Woman
In a heartbreaking incident that has shocked the local community, a gym trainer and champion bodybuilder allegedly died by suicide at his residence near Nelamangala in Bengaluru late on Saturday night. The tragedy is reportedly connected to a tumultuous relationship with a married woman he first encountered at the fitness center where he worked.
Champion Bodybuilder Takes His Own Life After Disturbing Video Call
The deceased has been identified as Dileep Kumar MR, a resident of Vajarahalli who had earned recognition in several bodybuilding competitions. According to police reports, Dileep made a final video call to the woman shortly before his death, explicitly informing her of his intention to end his life. During this chilling communication, he allegedly displayed a cloth tied to the ceiling fan, indicating his planned method.
Two-Year Relationship That Turned Toxic
Investigations reveal that Dileep first met the 42-year-old married woman approximately two years ago during regular gym training sessions. What began as a professional acquaintance gradually evolved into a close friendship, which eventually transformed into a romantic involvement. However, the relationship soon became fraught with disputes and complications.
The situation escalated to such an extent that both parties approached local law enforcement about a year ago to resolve their differences. At that time, the woman submitted a written apology, formally pledging to cease all contact with Dileep. Similarly, Dileep agreed to maintain distance from her. Despite these official assurances, Dileep's family members have come forward with serious allegations.
Family Alleges Continued Harassment and Blackmail
Dileep's relatives claim that the woman persistently violated the agreement, continuing to harass and blackmail him long after their official separation. His sister, Vinutha, provided a detailed account of the events leading to the tragedy. She explained that on Saturday night, Dileep returned home around 11:15 PM. When his father, Ramesh, invited him for dinner, Dileep responded that he had already eaten outside and proceeded directly to his room.
"Within mere minutes," Vinutha recounted, "he tied a blanket to the ceiling fan and initiated that fateful video call to the woman, showing her the noose he had prepared."
Desperate Warning and Frantic Rescue Attempt
Following the disturbing video call, the woman sent an urgent message to Vinutha via Instagram, imploring her to check on Dileep immediately. Alarmed by this communication, Vinutha promptly alerted her parents. "My father and I forced open the locked door and discovered Dileep hanging," she described with evident distress. "We quickly untied him and rushed him to a nearby hospital, but medical professionals declared him brought dead upon arrival."
Emotional Harassment and Property Pressure Allegations
Vinutha has made serious allegations against the married woman, claiming that her persistent harassment directly contributed to her brother's tragic decision. "She would frequently show him pictures of her baby and subject him to intense emotional manipulation," Vinutha asserted. "Her actions drove him to this extreme step, and she must face appropriate legal consequences for her role in this tragedy."
Adding to these allegations, Dileep's father Ramesh revealed that the woman had been pressuring his son to transfer ownership of his house to her son's name. "My son was unable to bear this constant psychological torture," Ramesh stated mournfully. "The relentless pressure ultimately pushed him to take his own life."
Police Investigation and Evidence Collection
The Nelamangala Town police have registered a formal case of abetment to suicide and have launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Dileep's death. As part of their investigative procedures, authorities have seized Dileep's iPhone for detailed data retrieval and analysis, which may provide crucial insights into the events leading up to the tragedy.
