Chinese Man's Viral Story: Wife Left After Job Loss, ₹6.2L/Month Gone
Wife Leaves Husband After He Loses High-Paying Job

A 43-year-old law graduate has become an internet sensation across China after sharing his heartbreaking story of marital collapse following the loss of his high-paying job. The man, identified as Qianqian, saw his marriage crumble when his financial situation changed dramatically.

From Luxury Lifestyle to Delivery Rider

Qianqian previously enjoyed a prosperous career at a state-owned company where he earned approximately 50,000 yuan (₹6.23 lakh) per month. His life took a drastic turn five years ago when he lost his job for unspecified reasons. The former professional now works as a delivery rider, making less than 10,000 yuan (₹1.24 lakh) monthly.

The financial downfall exposed the true nature of his marriage. According to Qianqian's account on 163.com, his wife demanded a divorce shortly after his income dropped significantly. He realized she had only married him for his money and spending capacity rather than genuine affection.

Extravagant Spending and Empty Marriage

Qianqian described his former wife as exceptionally beautiful but revealed their seven-year marriage was emotionally and physically empty. The couple had intimacy only 7-8 times throughout their entire marriage, highlighting the relationship's fundamental flaws.

His wife maintained a luxurious lifestyle entirely funded by Qianqian's earnings. Some of her extravagant spending habits included:

  • Purchasing the same clothing items in three different colors
  • Buying two designer bags costing over 15,000 yuan (₹1.87 lakh) each
  • Using expensive facial creams on her hands and feet
  • Taking costly supplements to maintain her figure
  • Undergoing multiple cosmetic procedures

Qianqian eventually had to sell his flat to sustain her lavish spending habits. When the divorce was finalized, he was left with no shared property and significant financial losses.

Love for Money, Not for Person

The couple initially met while playing online games, and Qianqian was aware that many men were pursuing his wife-to-be because of her attractive appearance. He admitted that their relationship was fundamentally transactional from the beginning.

"She finally chose me, not because she liked my personality or my look, but because I was quite ready to give her money for whatever she wanted to buy," Qianqian revealed.

He also confessed that his own motivations were superficial: "My goal at that time was to occupy her. My dream was to marry her. I did not think much about whether she liked me or not."

Despite the pain and financial ruin, Qianqian maintains no hatred toward his ex-wife. "I do not hate my ex-wife. What I lost during my last marriage is not money, but my precious youth," he reflected philosophically.

The viral story has sparked widespread discussion about the nature of modern relationships, financial compatibility in marriage, and the importance of building connections beyond superficial attractions.
