The Kukrail forest in Lucknow is set to offer a significantly enriched experience for nature lovers and tourists. In a major push for sustainable tourism, the forest and tourism departments have jointly introduced a series of new attractions, headlined by the exciting Kukrail Night Safari.
New Attractions for an Immersive Experience
Developed by the UP Eco Tourism Board, the revamped forest area will be much more than a green lung for the city. Visitors can look forward to a dedicated children's park, modern play stations, and an open gym for fitness enthusiasts. A key highlight is the construction of unique bamboo round huts, designed to let tourists enjoy the serenity of nature in an eco-friendly manner.
For those keen to explore, specially curated nature walk trails will allow close encounters with the natural surroundings flanking the Kukrail river. These trails are designed to help visitors intimately experience the local flora and fauna, including diverse trees, plants, and bird species.
Focus on Convenience and Conservation
Emphasizing both visitor comfort and environmental priorities, the board is also building essential facilities within the forest precinct. These include a well-equipped cafeteria, clean toilet facilities, and adequate parking space. Pushp Kumar, Additional Director of the UP Eco Tourism Board, stated that these facilities are aimed at providing an enriching and convenient experience for all guests.
Boosting Tourism and Local Economy
According to a government spokesperson, these comprehensive initiatives are expected to do more than just promote eco-tourism. Kumar added that the project is strategically designed to increase revenue from tourism and, importantly, to generate employment opportunities for residents in the local community. This holistic development marks Kukrail's transformation into a premier sustainable destination, blending recreation with conservation and economic benefits.
