Similarly, the Karumandurai Fruit Farm Lake area will benefit from improved basic amenities with funding of Rs 1.52 crore. These strategic enhancements are designed to elevate the visitor experience across diverse tourist attractions within the district.
Economic and Employment Benefits Expected
Minister Rajendran emphasized that these tourism projects are anticipated to create a safer and higher-quality tourism environment while simultaneously generating employment opportunities for local residents. The minister stated that these developments will contribute significantly to the economic growth of the region and the country as a whole. The initiatives represent a strategic investment in Salem district's tourism infrastructure, positioning it for increased visitor numbers and enhanced hospitality services.
The comprehensive approach to tourism development across multiple locations demonstrates the government's commitment to balanced regional growth. By improving facilities in both established destinations like Yercaud and emerging areas like Poolampatti and Karumandurai, the projects aim to distribute tourism benefits more evenly throughout the district.
