As part of the project, key infrastructure will be constructed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. This includes:
- A prefabricated steel terminal building
- A pre-engineered air traffic control (ATC) tower
- A fire station
- Other allied facilities tailored to small aircraft operations
The EPC model is expected to ensure faster execution and deliver durable infrastructure, optimizing the airport for efficient regional air travel.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 35.14 crore, covering essential civil works for the buildings. This development follows a memorandum of understanding signed between the Bihar government and AAI in 2025, which has set the stage for work on several regional airports.
