East Central Railway GM Conducts Comprehensive Two-Day Inspection in Bihar
Patna: In a significant move to bolster railway infrastructure and operational standards, East Central Railway (ECR) General Manager Chhatrasal Singh embarked on a rigorous two-day window trailing inspection across several critical routes under the ECR jurisdiction on Friday and Saturday. This initiative aimed to assess ongoing development works and enhance overall efficiency within the network.
Focus on Vital Connectivity Routes in North Bihar
According to ECR Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra, the inspection meticulously covered the Mokama–Barauni–Samastipur–Darbhanga–Sakri–Jhanjharpur–Loukha Bazar sections. These routes are deemed essential for rail connectivity in north Bihar, serving as lifelines for regional transport and economic activities. During the visit, GM Singh reviewed the progress of various infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on the Amrit Bharat stations being developed at multiple locations under ECR's purview.
Detailed Evaluation of Stations, Bridges, and Safety Measures
The GM conducted thorough inspections of railway stations, rail bridges, tracks, and safety mechanisms along the route. He placed a strong focus on passenger amenities, underscoring the necessity for improved facilities to ensure a superior travel experience. A key highlight of the inspection was his visit to the Kosi rail bridge, where he assessed its maintenance and upkeep. Singh directed officials to uphold high safety standards and implement regular monitoring of this strategically important structure.
