This deal focuses on the inspection and depot-level maintenance of the Indian Navy's P8I long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft fleet.
This maintenance contract is categorized under the 'Buy Indian' initiative, featuring 100% indigenous content, which aligns perfectly with the government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) policy. The agreement ensures that the P8I fleet will undergo depot-level maintenance at in-country facilities, promoting local expertise and reducing dependency on foreign support.
