The Indian Army's Konark Corps has put on a formidable display of its firepower and operational readiness in the deserts of Rajasthan. The two-day 'Exercise Konark Shakti', which commenced on Sunday, was conducted at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer, showcasing the Corps' enhanced combat capabilities.

During the intensive exercise, the artillery units of the Konark Corps unleashed the striking power of several newly inducted weapon systems. The demonstration featured a coordinated barrage from Pinaka rocket systems, Smerch rockets, and Grad rockets, alongside multiple advanced artillery guns. The GOC expressed his appreciation for the high degree of professionalism, coordination, and technical proficiency displayed by all personnel involved.
Lt Gen Rathee lauded the 'Konark Warriors', stating that the successful execution of Exercise Konark Shakti is a clear symbol of the operational preparedness and combat readiness of the Desert Corps. He emphasised the continuing need for rigorous training, jointmanship, and the adoption of emerging technologies to maintain tactical superiority in the sector.
In a related visit, the GOC also reviewed the operational preparedness of the Bogra Brigade in Barmer on Monday, underscoring the comprehensive focus on readiness across the formation.
