India's ambassador-designate to China, Pradeep Rawat, held a crucial meeting with Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane on Monday to discuss geostrategic ties and bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting took place at the Army Headquarters in New Delhi and focused on strengthening cooperation and addressing key issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Key Discussions
During the meeting, both officials deliberated on the current state of India-China relations, with a particular emphasis on the ongoing border standoff in eastern Ladakh. General Naravane briefed Rawat on the military situation and the steps taken by the Indian Army to ensure national security and territorial integrity.

Rawat, who is set to take charge as India's envoy to Beijing, reiterated India's commitment to maintaining peace and tranquility along the border while safeguarding its sovereign interests.
This meeting comes at a time when India and China have been engaged in multiple rounds of military and diplomatic talks to resolve the lingering border issues.
