Israeli Envoy Reuven Azar Details Three-Point Strategy to Counter Iran Threat

The Ambassador of Israel to India, Reuven Azar, has firmly stated that the strategic objectives of the joint US-Israel military operations against Iran remain unchanged, emphasising there has been "no shifting of the goalposts" in their aims. In an exclusive interview with ANI, Azar outlined the primary mission of the ongoing conflict, highlighting a focused three-point plan designed to address critical threats from Iran.

Three Specific Goals Outlined by Ambassador Azar

Ambassador Azar detailed the coalition's precise objectives, which are central to the current military campaign. "We have stated at the outset that we have three goals: to neutralise the nuclear threat, to neutralise the ballistic missile threat, and to give the Iranian people an opportunity to embrace the future by degrading the capability of the forces of oppression inside Iran," he explained. He stressed that all operations are strictly aligned with these established intentions, ensuring consistency in their approach.

"So, we are doing exactly that. Nothing has changed in terms of our aims," Azar remarked, adding that the ultimate goal is to guarantee that "after this war is over, the Iranian regime cannot reconstitute these plans." This statement underscores a long-term strategy aimed at permanently dismantling Iran's threatening capabilities.

Response to Iranian Retaliatory Actions

Addressing recent retaliatory measures by Tehran, Azar noted that the Iranian military response was anticipated. He claimed that previous operations conducted in June had significantly degraded Iran's offensive power, resulting in a less effective strike against Israel this time. "We are not surprised. We knew that the Iranians have these capabilities. In fact, following our effort back in June, we have degraded the capabilities of the Iranians, and the damage that they are inflicting on Israel now is much less than what they did back in June," the Ambassador elaborated.

Furthermore, Azar criticised the scale of Iran's response, describing the decision to target multiple nations as a "completely irresponsible" escalation of the conflict. "They decided to escalate by attacking 12 countries in the region. I think this is completely irresponsible," he added, highlighting the broader regional implications of Iran's actions.

International Pressure on Iran

The envoy maintained that the international community should view Tehran as the primary aggressor in this conflict. "The pressure is on them and will continue to be on them because they are the aggressors," Azar stated, reinforcing the need for sustained global focus on Iran's role in escalating tensions. This perspective aims to rally support for the US-Israel coalition's efforts and isolate Iran diplomatically and militarily.

In summary, Ambassador Reuven Azar's comments provide a clear and detailed insight into Israel's unwavering strategy against Iran, centred on three key objectives to neutralise threats and promote regional stability. The ongoing military campaign remains focused on these goals, with no deviation from the original plan, as emphasised by the envoy's firm stance.
