Sortor also cited a Fox News report claiming that Trump held a 'breakthrough' call with Middle Eastern leaders regarding Iran.
The Washington Times reported that the US and Iran are expected to announce the finalization of a draft proposal of a peace deal by Sunday afternoon. Top negotiators, including Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalifbaf, Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, have approved the draft, according to the report.

President Trump earlier announced that he would have to skip his son Donald Trump Jr's wedding to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas. "I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, DC, at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!" Trump said on Truth Social. While this raised eyebrows, reports claim that Don and Anderson are already married, as a marriage certificate filed in Palm Beach County revealed that they legally tied the knot on Thursday. The Bahamas ceremony is only for close friends and family, though Bettina Anderson wanted a White House wedding.
Trump has been married before, to Vanessa Trump, who announced this week that she is battling breast cancer. Trump Jr and Vanessa Trump remained close after their divorce, celebrating daughter Kai ahead of her senior prom, at a 19th birthday party, and at her graduation in recent days. Kai and Don's other children were scheduled to attend the Bahamas wedding.
