In a significant event aimed at enhancing public engagement with military history, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly inaugurated a cutting-edge laser, light, and sound show at the Smritika War Memorial in Lucknow Cantonment on Saturday. This initiative marks a transformative step in showcasing India's rich military heritage through advanced technological displays.

A 30-Minute Multimedia Journey Through Army History

The newly launched show is a 30-minute multimedia presentation delivered in Hindi, designed to educate and inspire audiences about the Indian Army's storied past. It comprehensively narrates the history of the army, highlighting its major operational achievements and invaluable contributions to nation-building. By employing sophisticated projection mapping, immersive soundscapes, and dynamic lighting effects, the presentation serves as a powerful tribute to the valour, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of the Indian armed forces.

Key historical events covered include:

Furthermore, the presentation underscores the ongoing modernisation of the Indian Army and the growth of indigenous defence capabilities under the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) vision. Infrastructure Upgrades and Public Accessibility

To support this innovative show, the Smritika War Memorial has undergone extensive renovations and upgrades. These enhancements include the construction of a modern amphitheatre, the installation of advanced audio-visual systems, and the addition of new murals depicting military equipment and war trophies. The entire initiative has been meticulously executed by Headquarters Central Command in close partnership with the Uttar Pradesh government.
