Mizoram Official Leads Boundary Verification Between LADC and CADC in Parva-1
Mizoram Boundary Verification Between LADC and CADC

Mizoram's district council and minority affairs secretary Lalhmunsanga Hnamte conducted a spot verification on Friday to address boundary issues between the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) and the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC). The verification took place in the Parva-1 area near Tuichawng, focusing on boundary pillars erected by Central Young Lai Association (CYLA) leaders.

Meeting with Local Representatives

The team met with representatives from Parva-I village council and Young Chakma Association, Parva-2 village council and Young Lai Association, and Parva-3 Young Mizo Association. Discussions were held regarding the boundary status and related matters. The recent installation of boundary pillars by CYLA leaders in Parva-1, claiming it as the boundary between LADC and CADC, was strongly opposed by CADC authorities and civil societies, causing tension.

Deputy Commissioner's Involvement

Lawngtlai district deputy commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga attended the inspection and interacted with representatives of the three Parva village councils and local voluntary organizations. He listened to grievances and community needs, assuring proper investigation and resolution. A detailed inspection of the boundary pillar erected by CYLA was carried out.
