Patanjali & Moscow Sign Landmark MoUs on Yoga, Ayurveda & Media
Patanjali, Moscow Govt Sign Major Wellness & Culture MoUs

In a landmark development strengthening Indo-Russian ties, the Moscow Government and India's Patanjali Group inked several significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at a high-profile ceremony in New Delhi. The event, held at The Leela Palace, marks a major expansion of bilateral cooperation into the realms of holistic wellness, cultural exchange, and media collaboration.

Pillars of a Holistic Partnership

The suite of agreements formalized today covers a wide spectrum. The central MoU focuses on establishing and promoting comprehensive yoga, Ayurveda, and wellness ecosystems across Russia. This initiative positions Russia as a strategic gateway for Patanjali's global wellness outreach. Addressing the gathering, Yogrishi Swami Ramdev announced plans to roll out extensive wellness programs throughout Russia, with an eye on subsequent worldwide expansion.

"All spiritual content, Indian heritage content, our knowledge systems and Sanatan wisdom will now be provided to Russia," Swami Ramdev declared, underscoring the depth of the cultural exchange envisioned.

A separate, crucial MoU was signed between the Patanjali Group and the Big Asia Media Group. This pact is designed to build a powerful media bridge, enabling the widespread broadcasting and distribution of Indian yoga, spiritual, and cultural content tailored for Russian audiences, thereby strengthening cultural diplomacy.

Skill Development and Scientific Collaboration

A third key area of partnership addresses skill development and manpower exchange. Under this framework, Patanjali will supply trained yoga professionals and skilled experts in various fields to support Russian institutions. This responds to a clearly expressed interest from the Moscow Government in importing structured yoga education and certified wellness practitioners to Russia.

Looking to the future, Swami Ramdev also revealed plans for advanced scientific collaboration. This will involve Patanjali's team of scientists, doctors, and researchers working with Russian counterparts in cutting-edge fields like genetics, anti-ageing, longevity research, immunity enhancement, and early-stage disease diagnostics.

A Foundation of Mutual Admiration

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Sergi Cheremin, Chairman of the Business Council for Cooperation with India and Minister of Commerce for the Moscow Government, alongside Swami Ramdev. Mr. Cheremin eloquently highlighted Russia's profound admiration for India's cultural depth and dynamic creative and wellness industries.

He pointed to the successful "Days of Moscow in Delhi" event as evidence of deep public interest, noting that millions in Russia actively engage with Indian culture. Mr. Cheremin extended a formal invitation to host "Days of India" in Moscow, with Swami Ramdev as a guest of honour, and expressed Russia's readiness to promote Indian brands, fashion, and creative sectors.

The event concluded with a reinforced commitment from both sides to deepen people-to-people connections and advance a unique, wellness-driven partnership that reflects the growing warmth and multidimensional engagement between India and Russia.
