In a statement, Modi said, 'I welcome the historic peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. This deal will contribute to peace and stability in the region.'
The Prime Minister also expressed confidence that the agreement will open up new avenues for cooperation and development. 'India has always supported peace and dialogue in West Asia. This deal is a positive step towards resolving conflicts and promoting prosperity,' he added.
The peace deal, brokered by the United States, normalizes relations between Israel and the UAE, marking a significant shift in Middle Eastern geopolitics. Modi's remarks underscore India's growing engagement with West Asian nations, balancing ties with both Israel and Arab countries.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also welcomed the deal, stating that it reflects the changing dynamics in the region. 'India views this as a positive development and hopes for enduring peace,' he said.
