President Murmu arrived in Vellore by helicopter from Karnataka. Upon landing, she was formally received by a delegation of dignitaries led by Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi. The welcoming party also included Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan, and State Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, R Gandhi, among other officials.
