53,000 Candidates for UP Police Constable Exam in Noida, Ghaziabad

Over 53,000 candidates from Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad are set to appear for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) constable recruitment examination, scheduled from June 8 to June 10, 2025. Officials confirmed that approximately 42,000 candidates will take the test across 20 centres in GB Nagar, while nearly 11,000 candidates will be accommodated at 25 centres in Ghaziabad.

Exam Schedule and Format

The offline OMR-based examination will be conducted in two shifts daily: the first shift from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. With nearly 29 lakh candidates expected to appear across Uttar Pradesh, authorities have ramped up security and monitoring measures to ensure a smooth process and prevent any malpractices.

Security and Monitoring Arrangements

District administrations have deployed sector magistrates, static magistrates, centre superintendents, and police personnel at all examination centres. Biometric verification of candidates will be conducted before entry into examination halls. The arrangements were reviewed during a meeting at the collectorate on Thursday, attended by senior civil and police officials.

An official stated, “Candidates have been advised to reach their examination centres well in advance and carry only permitted documents. Mobile phones, smartwatches, digital watches, and other electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside the centres.”

Focus on Integrity

Authorities are placing special emphasis on strict adherence to examination protocols in light of recent instances of paper leaks and impersonation attempts reported in recruitment exams. Monitoring teams have been constituted, and officials have been directed to maintain vigilance throughout the examination period. The constable recruitment test is one of the largest drives undertaken by Uttar Pradesh Police in recent years, attracting candidates from across the state.
