While elephants were once commonly used for such operations, improved communication infrastructure and transportation networks have rendered them unnecessary in this election cycle.

The Election Commission has implemented robust monitoring systems across all 31,490 polling stations in Assam. Webcasting technology enables real-time surveillance from district headquarters and the central Election Commission office in Delhi. In areas lacking internet connectivity, cameras will record footage onto memory cards for later download and review, ensuring comprehensive coverage regardless of technological limitations.
