NDA Confident of Victory as Exit Polls Predict Bihar Win
The National Democratic Alliance is expressing strong confidence following exit poll predictions indicating favorable outcomes for the coalition in the Bihar assembly elections. With election results scheduled for declaration on Friday, coalition partners are pointing to unprecedented voter participation as evidence of public support.
BJP officials highlighted that the substantial turnout of women voters specifically demonstrates their endorsement of the NDA's development-focused governance model. The Election Commission's provisional data released on Tuesday revealed Bihar registered the highest women voter turnout at 71.6% compared to 62.8% for men in the overall voter turnout of 66.91% - marking the highest participation since the first state elections in 1951.
Women Empowerment Central to NDA Campaign
BJP state president Dilip Kumar Jaiswal addressed opposition claims regarding financial transfers to women voters, stating that the government's support for Jeevika didis through Rs10,000 transfers represented empowerment rather than bribery. "Women in Bihar want to become self-reliant and the government helped them," Jaiswal emphasized, characterizing opposition comments as insulting to Bihar's women.
The BJP further articulated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership since 2014, pro-incumbency for good governance has become a new pattern in Indian democracy, representing a previously unseen trend in the country's political landscape.
Coalition Partners United Against 'Jungle Raj'
JD(U) national spokesman Rajeev Ranjan Prasad expressed certainty about the Mahagathbandhan's defeat, predicting that RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav would lose from Raghopur constituency. "The voters trusted us because they saw the work happening in Bihar for women and all sections of society," Prasad stated.
HAM(S) patron and Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi employed vivid imagery in his social media post, drawing from PM Modi's election rally analogy: "There are six bullets in a sixer (revolver) and our six candidates are like those bullets, who will not allow the return of 'jungle raj' in Bihar at any cost."
BJP spokesman Prem Ranjan Patel summarized the coalition's perspective, asserting that exit polls reflect public trust in the combined leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. "The public has chosen the light of development over the darkness of the lantern. This is a victory for the public's faith in the NDA's policies, work ethic, and public service," Patel concluded.
