Noida DM Supervises Voter List Revision, 85% Forms Distributed
Noida DM Oversees Voter List Revision Campaign

District Magistrate Medha Roopam took to the field on Thursday, personally inspecting the progress of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign for the voter list in Greater Noida. As the district election officer, her visit aimed to ensure the smooth execution of the Election Commission of India's mandate.

On-the-Ground Inspection and Progress Report

Accompanied by booth-level officers (BLOs) and election department officials, the DM visited residential societies including Kanshiram Housing Society in Sector Pi and Supertech Czar Society. Her mission was to supervise the enumeration work firsthand.

According to officials, the campaign has seen significant progress, with over 85% of the enumeration forms already distributed across the district. Additional DM (finance and revenue) Atul Kumar, who is overseeing the campaign, provided a detailed breakdown. In rural areas, distribution has crossed an impressive 95%, while urban areas have reached approximately 85% completion.

Kumar addressed the remaining 15%, noting cases where voters are unavailable or untraceable. For these scenarios, BLOs have been directed to coordinate with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and facility management teams to ensure forms are delivered or filled online.

Ensuring No Voter is Left Behind

Demonstrating a hands-on approach, District Magistrate Medha Roopam went door-to-door with BLOs, climbing up to the fifth floor of the Supertech Czar Society. She interacted directly with residents to gather feedback on the revision program.

During these interactions, she urged every citizen to verify their names in the electoral roll and encourage their family members to do the same. She emphasized that the participation of every voter is crucial in a democracy.

To bolster the campaign, the district administration has proactively held two meetings with RWAs and AOAs (Apartment Owners' Associations) to build awareness and seek their cooperation. In Gautam Budh Nagar district, a total of 18.69 lakh enumeration forms are targeted for distribution among the registered voters.

During her field visit, the DM issued clear instructions to officials to closely monitor the work of BLOs. Her directive was unequivocal: the distribution and verification of forms must be completed in a timely manner, and no eligible citizen should be left out of the electoral process.
