Opposition Leader Makes Serious Poll Rigging Allegations
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah during election rallies in Bihar on Sunday, accusing them of winning elections through systematic vote theft rather than fair democratic processes.
Addressing crowds in Kishanganj and Purnia on the final day of campaigning for the second phase of Bihar polls, Gandhi asserted that the BJP consistently employs 'vote chori' (vote theft) to secure electoral victories across multiple states.
Direct Allegations Against PM and Home Minister
"Modi and Shah don't win elections, they emerge victorious by stealing votes," Gandhi stated in Hindi, making his allegations crystal clear to the gathered supporters. He went further to claim that both leaders would eventually face consequences for their involvement in what he described as widespread electoral manipulation.
The opposition leader didn't mince words when he accused the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of being part of this alleged conspiracy, suggesting institutional collusion in the electoral process. "I have proof of vote theft and they will be caught in the end," Gandhi declared confidently.
Historical Pattern of Electoral Fraud Claims
Gandhi provided specific examples to substantiate his allegations, pointing to recent state elections where he believes the BJP manipulated outcomes. He particularly emphasized the case of Haryana, where he claimed 25 lakh fake voters participated in elections despite the state having only 2 crore legitimate voters.
"Several BJP leaders from UP also voted in Haryana," he alleged, describing vote chori as the biggest theft happening in the country today. The Congress leader expressed frustration that neither BJP leaders nor the Election Commission had responded to his earlier exposure of vote theft in Haryana.
Call to Action for Bihar Voters
With the crucial voting day approaching on November 11, Gandhi made an impassioned appeal to Bihar's electorate to remain vigilant at polling stations. He emphasized that preventing vote theft could ensure the formation of an INDIA bloc government in the state.
"I can say with certainty that the Mahagathbandhan (INDIA bloc) is going to form the next government. There is a cent per cent chance. But, you must prevent the BJP from vote theft," Gandhi asserted, making the electoral battle a direct confrontation between democratic vigilance and alleged manipulation.
He specifically called upon every youngster, worker, and farmer to take responsibility for protecting the integrity of the voting process, framing it as a civic duty crucial for preserving democracy.
Broader Political Strategy Allegations
Beyond direct electoral manipulation, Gandhi accused the BJP and RSS of pursuing a divisive agenda designed to distract public attention from vote theft. He suggested that the ruling party uses social issues and free data promises to keep youth engaged on social media rather than focusing on real problems.
"Social media is the biggest addiction in the 21st century and the NDA people want the young generation to be engaged in it," he alleged, while emphasizing that what youth actually need is employment opportunities, not digital distractions.
Gandhi concluded with a strong message about the fundamental betrayal of democratic principles, stating that Modi and Shah have betrayed the soul of India through their alleged manipulation of the electoral process, but assured supporters that they would ultimately be held accountable for their actions.
