In an impressive display of efficiency, Rajasthan's Booth Level Officials (BLOs) have nearly completed their voter enumeration targets despite receiving a week-long extension for the Special Intensive Review (SIR) process. The state has achieved a remarkable 95.9% completion rate, making the extended deadline largely unnecessary for Rajasthan officials.
Record-Breaking Enumeration Achievement
According to Naveen Mahajan, CEO of Rajasthan, the state has successfully uploaded over 5.24 crore enumeration forms to the ECI-Net system out of the total 5.46 crore forms. This represents a 95.9% achievement rate that puts Rajasthan significantly ahead of other states and union territories where the process is progressing more slowly.
Mahajan emphasized that technical expertise, teamwork, and continuous monitoring at the district level were the key factors behind this exceptional performance. He confidently stated that given the current pace, Rajasthan could have achieved the 100% target even before the original December 4 deadline.
Jaipur District Shows Strong Performance
Even in Jaipur district, which has the highest number of voters in the state, the enumeration process has shown remarkable progress. Deputy District Election Officer Meghraj Meena reported that over 90% of forms had been digitized under the Special Intensive Review program.
As of 6 PM on Sunday, officials had digitized 43,89,700 enumeration forms, representing over 91% of the total in Jaipur district. Among the 19 assembly constituencies in Jaipur, Chomu constituency recorded the highest completion rate at an impressive 99.48%.
Extension Benefits Other States
While Rajasthan's performance made the deadline extension largely redundant for the state, the week-long extension will benefit the other 11 states and union territories where the Special Intensive Review process has been progressing at a slower pace. The extension ensures that all regions have adequate time to complete the crucial voter enumeration exercise thoroughly.
The outstanding achievement by Rajasthan's election officials demonstrates the state's commitment to ensuring comprehensive voter registration and sets a benchmark for election preparation efficiency across India.
