Shah Confident of 110 Seats for BJP in Bengal Phase 1

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win 110 seats in the first phase of the West Bengal assembly elections. Addressing a rally in the state, Shah said that the people of Bengal have made up their minds to bring the BJP to power.

Shah's Assertion on BJP's Victory

Shah stated that the 'Jaane waali hai' (going away) phase of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is over and now it is 'BJP aane waali hai' (BJP is coming). He emphasized that the BJP's wave is visible across the state and the party will secure a landslide victory in the upcoming polls.

Campaigning for Phase 1 Polls

The Home Minister was campaigning for the first phase of the assembly elections scheduled to be held on March 27. He attacked the TMC government over corruption and lack of development, promising that a BJP government would bring about change.

Shah also accused the TMC of indulging in violence and intimidation during the elections. He urged the voters to cast their ballots fearlessly and ensure a peaceful polling process.

The BJP has set a target of winning 200 seats in the 294-member West Bengal assembly. Shah's confidence comes as the party has been aggressively campaigning in the state, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi also holding multiple rallies.

The first phase of polling will cover 30 constituencies in five districts of West Bengal. The elections are being held in eight phases, with the results to be declared on May 2.
