Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde has dramatically intensified his political campaign in Ambernath as the crucial municipal council elections scheduled for December 2 approach. The parliamentarian is making a direct appeal to voters, asking them to judge his party based solely on the extensive development initiatives completed throughout the city.
Development-Focused Campaign Strategy
In a remarkable display of political mobilization, Dr. Shinde addressed six separate public rallies across different areas of Ambernath in just one day this Tuesday. His message remained consistently clear and unified: development achievements, not empty political rhetoric, will form the foundation of his election campaign. The MP systematically highlighted numerous completed and ongoing projects that he claims have fundamentally transformed the city's public infrastructure and community spaces.
Dr. Shinde emphasized that contemporary urban residents require much more than just basic utilities. He pointed to several specific enhancement projects, including the upgradation of Nehru Park, Gavdevi Ground, and multiple community gardens as evidence of improved public amenities. The ongoing construction of a significant indoor-outdoor sports complex on the city's western side also featured prominently in his presentations.
Infrastructure and Healthcare Advancements
The beautification project surrounding the thousand-year-old Shiva temple precinct, expected to reach completion within the coming months, received special mention during the campaign speeches. Dr. Shinde also highlighted the recent inauguration of a new theater as part of the cultural infrastructure improvements.
In the healthcare and education sectors, the MP pointed to the successful establishment of Ambernath's medical college, which recently completed its first academic year with two batches of students now enrolled. He noted that several libraries and the UPSC-MPSC study center are providing crucial support to thousands of competitive exam aspirants, while the modern shooting range adds to the city's recreational facilities.
Looking toward future healthcare improvements, Dr. Shinde announced ambitious plans to establish a large modern hospital in Ambernath modeled on the innovative 'no cash counter' concept currently operating in Ulhasnagar, where patients receive treatment without financial burden.
Addressing Core Civic Needs
With approximately 30 lakh residents in the Kalyan constituency, Dr. Shinde identified water supply and healthcare as continuing top priorities. He referenced ongoing work on the Chikhloli dam and proposed projects focusing on the Kalu and Poshir rivers as part of water management solutions.
The parliamentarian also assured constituents that metro connectivity and road infrastructure projects are advancing with support from both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. He expressed confidence that Ambernath's voters clearly recognize and appreciate the development work accomplished by Shiv Sena, suggesting that those spreading negativity would receive their answer directly from the public through ballot decisions.
Regarding political alliances, Dr. Shinde expressed his personal desire for Shiv Sena and BJP to contest the elections together under the Mahayuti banner, though he acknowledged this wasn't possible for unspecified reasons. Consequently, Shiv Sena is independently seeking an electoral mandate based entirely on its developmental track record.
Dr. Shinde concluded his campaign appearances with strong confidence, stating that just as residents supported him in previous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, they would once again deliver a powerful mandate to Shiv Sena in the upcoming municipal polls scheduled for December 2.
