The systematic revision of Uttar Pradesh's voter list is advancing at an impressive pace, with election officials reporting significant digitization achievements. Current statistics reveal that 5,123 polling booths have already completed 100% of their assigned work, setting a positive benchmark for other areas. However, recognizing the uneven progress across different regions, election authorities have taken proactive measures.
Districts showing slower advancement in the digitization process have received specific instructions to deploy additional staff members. This strategic reinforcement aims to balance the workload and ensure all regions meet the December deadline simultaneously.
Important Clarification for Voters
Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa issued crucial guidance for citizens who might receive multiple voter registration forms. This situation typically occurs when a voter's name appears in more than one location in the existing electoral database.
Rinwa clarified that in such cases, voters should carefully fill out and submit the form only at their ordinary residence address. The submission must include a recent photograph to ensure proper identification and prevent duplicate registrations.
