Madurai: A total of 88 individuals received appointment orders during the Union government's Rozgar Mela event held in Madurai. Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Srinivasa Varma Bhupathiraju, distributed the appointment letters to the selected candidates at a ceremony on Saturday.
Breakdown of Appointments
Among the 88 appointees, the Railways department offered the highest number of positions, with 40 candidates receiving appointment letters. The Department of Financial Services provided appointments to 31 individuals, while the Department of Posts issued letters to 15 candidates. Additionally, four candidates secured positions with the Airports Authority of India.
National Context
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 19th Rozgar Mela at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. This nationwide initiative saw more than 51,000 newly recruited candidates receive their appointment letters simultaneously at 47 locations across the country, including Madurai.
The Rozgar Mela is part of the government's ongoing efforts to boost employment and provide opportunities for youth across various sectors. The event in Madurai highlighted the government's commitment to decentralized job distribution, ensuring that candidates from different regions benefit from central recruitment drives.
