Ahmedabad residents experienced intense heat on Friday, with sweat-soaked clothes and frizzy hair becoming common complaints. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the city recorded a maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius, the highest in Gujarat. Compounding the discomfort was high relative humidity, which stood at 66% at 8:30 am and 41% at 5:30 pm. The maximum temperature was 0.4 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature of 29.5 degrees was 1.4 degrees above normal.

According to the IMD, Ahmedabad and neighboring Gandhinagar are likely to experience partly cloudy skies over the next five days. Maximum temperatures are expected to hover around 41 to 42 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures ranging from 29 to 30 degrees Celsius. The weather systems in the region may also bring light to moderate showers in some parts of Gujarat.
