Meeting Highlights
Addressing the media after the meeting, Ghosh revealed that the new government is examining the existing framework and is expected to introduce changes soon. "All our MLAs have submitted feedback to the Chief Minister, who will make the final decision. However, I can say that whatever is unjustified or dark in the syllabus will be removed promptly," he said.
Key Discussion Points
- Possible implementation of PM-SHRI in Bengal
- Issues related to college admissions
- Restructuring of school committees
Ghosh emphasized the collective goal: "We all want to bring back the past glory of education in our state, and for that we are seeking support from everyone so that we can make the best possible reforms." Dasgupta echoed the sentiment, stating, "There is deep concern regarding the education system in Bengal, and this department has the most important role to play."
The meeting signals a proactive approach by the new administration to address long-standing issues in the state's educational framework, with a focus on transparency and quality improvement.
