The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has issued an advisory confirming electricity disruption due to essential maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).
Why is the Power Cut Happening?
The planned outage is a result of quarterly maintenance work at the crucial 66/11 KV Kambipura substation. Power authorities state that this proactive work is vital to ensure a safe, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply in the long term, preventing unexpected breakdowns. This is especially critical with anticipated increases in electricity demand in the coming months.

The electricity supply will be disrupted from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 22. Residents are strongly advised to plan their day and essential power-dependent activities around this seven-hour window.
