Patna: Revenue and land reforms minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal on Thursday announced that computer operator-cum-clerks will be appointed in every panchayat to ensure that online revenue services reach the last person in the state.
Review Meeting Highlights
During a review meeting, the minister said the move would enable people to conveniently avail revenue services at the panchayat level. He added that a proposal to recruit 8,054 revenue employees has already been sent to the Bihar Staff Selection Commission to address the department's staff shortage.
Jaiswal stated that adequate manpower would help speed up the disposal of cases related to mutation, land record correction, e-measurement, encroachment disputes, public grievances, and other revenue matters.
Priority on Encroachment Cases
He directed officials to give top priority to encroachment-related cases and ensure all pending matters are disposed of within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed that delays in public service delivery would not be tolerated and asked officials to act promptly and impartially, in accordance with the law.
Department secretary Jai Singh also emphasised the need for speedy disposal of pending cases and adherence to timelines. He asked officials to ensure accountability at all levels so that government services reach people on time.
