BMTC Enhances Bengaluru Metro Connectivity with New Feeder Bus Services
In a significant move to improve urban transportation, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has launched eight dedicated feeder bus services specifically designed to boost last-mile connectivity for commuters using Namma Metro's Yellow Line. This initiative targets the route from RV Road to Bommasandra, addressing a critical gap in the city's public transit network.
Targeted Stations and Operational Details
The new feeder services will primarily serve three key Metro stations: Hosa Road, Singasandra, and Kudlu Gate. These buses are strategically routed to connect these stations to major residential areas and commercial hubs in their vicinity, facilitating easier access for daily travelers.
Operating hours for these services are set from 6:00 PM to 9:40 PM, aligning with evening peak traffic periods. During these times, buses will run at frequencies ranging from 15 to 30 minutes, ensuring regular and reliable service for commuters returning home or heading to evening destinations.
