Bokaro Aadhaar Drive Targets Coverage Gaps for Vulnerable

Bokaro District Administration Launches Special Aadhaar Drive to Address Coverage Gaps

In Bokaro, significant gaps in Aadhaar coverage are posing a risk to children, elderly citizens, and other vulnerable groups, potentially causing them to miss out on essential government benefits. Several areas within the district continue to experience limited access to enrollment centers, while delays in updating critical information such as mobile numbers, biometrics, and addresses are exacerbating public inconvenience.

Special Drive to Enhance Accessibility and Services

To tackle these challenges, the district administration is preparing to launch a targeted drive in low-coverage areas. This initiative aims to bridge the accessibility gap and ensure smoother, faster Aadhaar services for all residents. The campaign will feature enrollment camps, with a particular focus on children aged 0-5 years, alongside efforts to activate inactive Aadhaar kits and expand services across all blocks.

Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar emphasized the importance of this effort, stating, "Aadhaar has become a crucial document for accessing government schemes. Our priority is to ensure that no eligible person is left out. We will achieve 100% coverage in the district through special drives and better coordination."

Strengthening Inclusion Through Digital Identification

Majumdar further highlighted the administration's broader goal, adding, "The administration's larger motive is to strengthen inclusion by ensuring that every resident is digitally identified and connected to welfare benefits without barriers." This approach underscores the commitment to leveraging Aadhaar as a tool for social and economic empowerment.

District Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha reinforced this commitment, noting, "Ensuring 100% Aadhaar coverage is our priority. No eligible citizen should be left out of this essential identity system. Focus is on children, students, senior citizens, and divyang beneficiaries."

Ensuring Accountability and Transparency

To support these efforts, Jha announced that strict action will be taken against any negligence in the process. He stressed, "Transparent, timely, and citizen-friendly Aadhaar services are crucial for the effective implementation of government schemes." This stance aims to foster trust and efficiency in the delivery of Aadhaar-related services.

The administration's proactive measures are expected to significantly improve Aadhaar coverage in Bokaro, thereby enhancing access to vital benefits for all residents, especially those in vulnerable demographics.
