Buxar District Coordination Committee Reviews Revenue Campaign Preparations
District Magistrate Sahila chaired a crucial meeting of the District Coordination Committee at the collectorate on Monday, focusing on upcoming revenue initiatives and administrative efficiency.
Revenue Mega Campaign and E-Measurement Drive
The DM reviewed comprehensive preparations for the revenue mega campaign and e-measurement campaign scheduled to run from January 26 to March 31. This extensive drive aims to streamline land records and resolve longstanding issues across the district.
Sub-divisional officers (land reforms) from Buxar and Dumraon received specific directives to submit detailed preliminary reports, followed by progress updates every two days throughout the campaign duration. This structured reporting mechanism ensures continuous monitoring and timely intervention where needed.
Land Management and Reporting Directives
All circle officers were instructed to submit comprehensive reports on land availability within one week. Additionally, they must provide detailed information concerning the land bank, wetlands, encroachments, and other critical land-use matters to the concerned SDOs (land reforms).
The DM emphasized the importance of timely filing of counter-affidavits in cases pending before the Patna High Court, highlighting the legal implications of delays in judicial matters.
Accountability Measures and Performance Review
Taking serious note of poor performance indicators, the salary of the revenue officer from Simri circle was withheld due to multiple factors including low ranking, unresolved encroachment issues, and pending court cases. This action underscores the administration's commitment to accountability.
The executive officer of Buxar Nagar Parishad was also asked to provide explanations for delays in court-related matters, reinforcing the expectation of prompt legal compliance.
Case Disposal and Mutation Clearance
All circle officers received clear instructions to dispose of mutation cases, land disputes, e-measurement matters, and related proceedings within stipulated timeframes. Due to mutation cases pending for over 75 days, circle officers from Itadhi, Chausa, and Rajpur were specifically directed to submit written explanations for the delays.
The block development officer of Nawanagar was asked to clarify the apparent lack of interest in geo-tagging activities and the Awas Plus survey, both critical for accurate land documentation and housing scheme implementation.
Encroachment Removal and Inter-Departmental Coordination
Officials were directed to remove encroachments near the Gokul reservoir at the Chakki circle office, addressing both environmental concerns and land management issues.
Emphasizing the need for cohesive governance, the DM stressed that all departments must work together to ensure overall district development and effective implementation of public welfare schemes. This inter-departmental coordination is seen as vital for achieving comprehensive administrative goals.
