The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has procured a total of 405 air purifiers over the past four years, according to official data presented in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. This information was provided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in a written reply to parliamentary queries.

During the financial years 2023–24 and 2024–25, the CPWD acquired 300 air purifiers as part of its ongoing efforts to improve air quality in government premises. The devices have been distributed across a wide range of high-profile locations to ensure clean air for officials and visitors alike.

The air purifiers have been installed in numerous critical areas, including:
- Offices and chambers of ministers and senior bureaucrats
- VVIP lounges and dining halls, particularly those used by judges and registrars of the Supreme Court
- Courtrooms within the judicial complex
- The Constitution Club of India, a prominent venue for political and official gatherings
- Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha secretariats located in the Parliament complex
- Various ministry and department offices at Nirman Bhavan, Sewa Bhavan, and Vigyan Bhavan
