Cyberabad Commissioner Directs Builders to Strictly Adhere to Construction Norms and Environmental Standards
In a significant move to enhance urban development quality and public safety, the commissioner of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), G Srijana, has issued a strong directive to builders and developers. During a comprehensive meeting with key industry stakeholders, including CREDAI, NAREDCO, the Telangana Developers Association, and various builders, the commissioner emphasized the critical need for strict compliance with all construction norms, environmental standards, and statutory regulations.
Focus on Safety and Pollution Control Measures
The commissioner instructed developers to implement robust safety protocols at construction sites to safeguard workers and the general public. Proper safety measures must be a top priority to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment. Additionally, Srijana highlighted the importance of controlling dust and air pollution by adopting effective mitigation strategies. Builders were urged to utilize appropriate technologies and practices to minimize environmental impact and contribute to cleaner air in the region.
Clarifications on Occupancy Certificates and Waste Management
A key point of discussion was the process for obtaining Occupancy Certificates (OCs). The commissioner clarified that partial OCs should only be applied for after construction is fully completed in strict accordance with the approved plans, with no deviations allowed. This measure aims to prevent premature occupancy and ensure structural integrity. Furthermore, the issue of construction waste management was addressed, with instructions that all debris must be handed over exclusively to authorized agencies for proper disposal, promoting sustainable practices and reducing illegal dumping.
Emphasis on Buffer Zones and Regulatory Compliance
Developers were also directed to ensure that buffer zones are developed precisely as per approved plans, without any alterations. This step is crucial for maintaining urban planning standards and preventing encroachments. The meeting served as a reminder of the CMC's commitment to enforcing regulations and fostering responsible development in Cyberabad. By adhering to these guidelines, builders can contribute to safer, more sustainable, and well-planned urban growth in the area.
