Delhi Lieutenant Governor Conducts On-Site Inspection of DDA Housing Project

An official present at the interaction stated, "Residents flagged multiple issues including water seepage in certain flats, inadequate garbage management systems, irregular functioning of lifts in several towers, and problems caused by miscreants in the surrounding area."

Taking immediate cognizance of these concerns, Lieutenant Governor Sandhu issued clear directives to the concerned departments. He instructed the Delhi Development Authority, district administration, and Delhi Police to address all resident grievances on a priority basis to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment.
The LG emphasized that Swabhiman Apartments represents transformative infrastructure under the Prime Minister's vision of "Jahan Jhuggi, Wahin Makan" (Where there is a slum, there will be a home). He stressed that poor maintenance must not be allowed to undermine such landmark initiatives aimed at social upliftment.

Swabhiman Apartments stands as one of the flagship housing projects being implemented under the government's ambitious in-situ slum rehabilitation program.
