Delhi LG Announces Comprehensive Urban Management Initiatives

Speaking at the Delhi Development Authority's Heritage Week and Rooh-e-Delhi programme held at Mehrauli Archaeological Park, Sandhu emphasized the deployment of modern technology and community involvement to drive these efforts forward.
Curbing Illegal Parking and Enhancing Traffic Flow
Efforts will be intensified to curb illegal roadside parking, a major contributor to traffic congestion in the city. Sandhu highlighted that this will involve stricter enforcement and the use of advanced technological solutions to monitor and penalize violations effectively. Additionally, he announced plans to deploy modern technology for better management of streetlights, ensuring well-lit streets that contribute to overall safety and traffic efficiency.
Strengthening Women's Safety and Community Involvement
