The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has taken a significant step toward improving urban infrastructure by launching 400 mini high-mast lights at various religious and social sites throughout the city. The project was inaugurated through a video conferencing session led by Jayanta Mallabaruah, the housing and urban affairs minister. The launch event was held at Mahamaya Than in the Paltan Bazar area, where GMC mayor Mrigen Sarania and additional commissioner Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika were present, along with other senior officials from the GMC and Guwahati Urban Light Company Limited.
