Gujarat CM Orders Early Complaint Resolution; Site Sealed

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday directed officials to ensure that complaints from citizens are resolved at the earliest. Briefing reporters after the cabinet meeting, state government spokesperson Jitu Vaghani said that top officials of the administration were instructed by the CM to prepare an action plan for the prompt resolution of citizen grievances.

Digital Gujarat Portal Expands Services

Vaghani further announced that the top 20 citizen services most frequently used are now available on the Digital Gujarat portal. Authentication can be completed using Aadhaar or biometrics. The most-utilized services include income certificates, SEBC certificate, ST certificate, and EWS certificate, among others.

Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Surat

The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for South Gujarat will be held on May 1 and 2 in Surat, as per an official statement. Key focus sectors for the VGRC include textiles, gems and jewellery, chemicals and petrochemicals, green energy, agro and food processing, eco-tourism, start-ups, and MSMEs.

Ahmedabad Construction Site Sealed for Air Pollution

In Ahmedabad, the solid waste management department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's North West Zone imposed a penalty of Rs 2 lakh on a construction site in the Gota ward for causing air pollution. The site was sealed on Wednesday. An inspection at the Ivara Infrastructure Tower construction site on SG Highway revealed non-compliance with air pollution prevention standards, leading to the penalty. Additionally, on Tuesday, 15 units—13 in Bodakdev and three in Ghatlodia—were sealed in the western part of the city for public littering.
