The state government of Gujarat on Monday issued charge arrangement orders for several IAS officers, according to a notification from the General Administration Department (GAD).
Key Appointments and Additional Charges
Ratankanvar Gadhavicharan, currently serving as the Commissioner of Health (Rural), has been assigned the additional charge of the Commissioner of the Nutrition Mission until further orders. This move aims to streamline health and nutrition initiatives under a single leadership.
B A Shah, who was the Settlement Commissioner and Director of Land Records, has been transferred and appointed as the Commissioner of Land Reforms. This transfer is expected to bring experienced leadership to the land reforms department.
Ardra Agarwal, Secretary of the General Administration Department, will now hold the additional charge of Settlement Commissioner. This dual role is intended to ensure continuity in administrative functions.
Other Transfers and Appointments
Arvind V has been assigned the additional charge of the post of Additional Commissioner of State Tax, relieving Prashant Jilova of this additional responsibility. This change reflects the government's efforts to optimize tax administration.
In another significant transfer, the services of Tusharkumar Bhatt have been placed as Commissioner of the Grievance Redressal Authority (GRA) in the Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply, and Kalpasar Department. Bhatt will oversee grievance redressal mechanisms in these critical sectors.
These orders are effective immediately and are part of routine administrative reshuffles aimed at improving governance efficiency. The government has not provided further details on the duration of these additional charges.
