The Haryana Government has taken a significant step to strengthen field-level revenue administration by issuing posting orders for 33 newly promoted Naib Tehsildars. These officers have been assigned to various districts across the state to fill long-pending vacancies in revenue offices.
Promotions and Appointments
The newly appointed Naib Tehsildars were promoted from the positions of Kanungo and District Revenue Accountant (DRA). The orders were issued by the Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, on June 2. All officers have been directed to assume charge immediately at their new places of posting.
Districts Covered
The postings span multiple districts, including Panipat, Sirsa, Mahendergarh, Kalanwali, Beri, Hansi, Narnaul, Jagadhri, Wazirabad, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, and Hisar. Other officers have been posted to Palwal, Mohna, Gohana, Farukhnagar, Sampla, Sonipat, Ratia, Karnal, Dabwali, Ambala, Panipat, the Financial Commissioner Revenue Office in Chandigarh, Rai, Pratap Nagar (Yamunanagar), and Rohtak.
Expected Benefits
Revenue Department officials stated that this move will address staff shortages in several districts and improve the efficiency of revenue administration. The appointments are expected to expedite the disposal of pending revenue matters and enhance public service delivery in both rural and urban areas. Key areas of focus include land administration, revenue collection, mutation work, record management, and citizen services at the grassroots level.
This administrative reshuffle underscores the government's commitment to boosting public service delivery and ensuring that revenue services are more accessible and efficient for the people of Haryana.
