Haryana CM Directs Creation of Digital Portal for ITI Graduate Tracking
In a significant move to enhance youth employment and skill development, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued directives for the establishment of a comprehensive digital portal. This portal will meticulously track apprenticeship and placement data for trainees graduating from the state's Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
Digital Platform to Bridge Industry and ITI Graduates
Chairing a review meeting of the youth empowerment and entrepreneurship department on Wednesday, Saini emphasized the critical need for a dedicated digital platform. This system will not only monitor the progress of ITI graduates but also make their data accessible to industrial units across the state.
The chief minister stressed that this initiative aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in connecting skilled manpower with employment opportunities.
Comprehensive Monitoring and Employment Initiatives
Saini has mandated the implementation of a robust monitoring system to verify whether ITI graduates secure jobs post-course completion. Additionally, officials are required to maintain detailed records of students undergoing internships, providing a holistic view of their training journey.
To further bolster employment prospects, the department has been instructed to organize employment fairs in every district. A structured calendar for these fairs will be prepared to ensure regular and widespread outreach.
Upgrading ITI Infrastructure and Training Quality
In light of the rising demand for skilled labor, particularly with the development of 10 Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) in Haryana, Saini highlighted the urgent need to upgrade ITIs. He called for a focused approach on quality training and the integration of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, into the curriculum.
Reviewing the current infrastructure, the chief minister directed the replacement or upgradation of outdated and non-functional machinery. He also emphasized the importance of instructor training and the proper maintenance of ITI buildings to create a conducive learning environment.
Strict Oversight and Central Scheme Implementation
Saini conducted a thorough review of private ITIs and ordered strict action against any institutions found with irregularities, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
In a separate meeting, the chief minister reviewed the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes. He directed various departments to ensure timely utilization of funds, submit utilization certificates promptly, and appoint nodal officers to coordinate effectively with the central government.
