Jind: Haryana Minister of State for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Gaurav Gautam, chaired the district grievance redressal committee meeting on Monday. A total of 11 complaints were presented before the committee for resolution. Out of these, nine were resolved on the spot, while necessary directions were issued to concerned officials for a detailed investigation into the remaining two cases.
Safidon MLA Ramkumar Gautam, Uchana MLA Devender Chaturbhuj Atri, Deputy Commissioner Vaishali Sharma, and Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Singh were also present at the meeting.
Taking cognizance of a complaint regarding the provision of necessary facilities on National Highway 352D, Gaurav Gautam directed officials to ensure smooth traffic movement and provide all required amenities as per NHAI norms. Officials informed that pothole filling and patchwork on the road had been completed, while work on installing additional lighting and ensuring proper drainage of rainwater was currently underway. The Minister directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner to monitor the matter and coordinate with NHAI officials to ensure the remaining works are completed in a timely manner.
Addressing a complaint regarding alleged encroachment on panchayati land in Malsari Khera village, the Minister instructed the SDM, Safidon, to conduct a site inspection and submit a report at the next committee meeting.
Gautam directed officials that the two complaints which could not be resolved immediately should be investigated impartially and thoroughly, and reports should be submitted at the earliest to facilitate appropriate resolution. He stated that the state government is working with complete sensitivity and commitment towards resolving public grievances.
Gaurav Gautam instructed officials that negligence in matters concerning the public would not be tolerated and that all complaints must be resolved within the stipulated time frame. He also emphasized that officials should deal with complainants sensitively and adopt a positive approach towards problem-solving.
The Minister further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is working with public welfare as its highest priority. The government's objective is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society and to make the administration more accountable and citizen-centric.
