Haryana Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Ranbir Gangwa on Tuesday directed officials to find effective solutions to the growing traffic woes in Hisar city. He emphasized the need for better road infrastructure and traffic management to ease congestion and ensure smooth movement of vehicles.
Meeting with Officials
During a review meeting, Gangwa instructed the PWD and traffic police officials to conduct a thorough survey of the city's roads and identify problematic areas. He asked them to prepare a comprehensive plan to address traffic bottlenecks, especially during peak hours. The minister stressed that timely action is needed to prevent accidents and reduce travel time for commuters.
Key Directions
Gangwa directed officials to explore the possibility of widening narrow roads, constructing flyovers, and installing traffic signals at key intersections. He also called for strict enforcement of traffic rules and better coordination between the PWD and traffic police. The minister said that the government is committed to providing world-class infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents.
He further instructed the officials to take feedback from local residents and commuters to understand their concerns. The minister said that a time-bound action plan should be prepared and implemented at the earliest. He also warned of strict action against officials who fail to meet deadlines or show negligence in their work.
Public Response
Residents of Hisar have long been complaining about traffic congestion, especially on major roads like Delhi Road, Hansi Road, and the Bus Stand area. They have demanded immediate intervention from the government to improve the situation. Many have suggested that the construction of an elevated road or a bypass could help ease the pressure on the city's roads.
The minister's directive has been welcomed by local residents and commuters, who hope that the government will take concrete steps to resolve the issue. They have urged the authorities to expedite the process and ensure that the proposed solutions are implemented without delay.
