Haryana Sets June 2026 Deadline for e-Bhoomi Land Drive

The Haryana government has set June 30, 2026, as the final deadline for landowners to participate in the ongoing e-Bhoomi initiative. Under this scheme, land is being purchased with owner consent for urban, commercial, and institutional development across the state.

HSVP Plans to Launch New Sectors

The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) plans to procure land to launch new sectors. In Gurgaon, HSVP has not launched any new sectors in the last 20 years. According to HSVP, the programme has identified 1.7 lakh acres across 71 towns, making it one of the state’s largest voluntary land procurement drives. In the first phase, the government is in the process of purchasing nearly 47,000 acres.

Transparent and Digital Mechanism

Land parcels have been categorised based on town-specific and project requirements, and each district’s potential zones have been uploaded on the e-Bhoomi portal. “The scheme aims at creating transparent, digital and time-bound mechanisms for land purchase, ensuring direct payment to landowners and eliminating procedural delays,” said a senior HSVP officer.

HSVP has released town-wise acquisition estimates, acreage availability, and contact numbers of field officers to assist landowners. Officials said those willing to sell should complete consent and document submission well before the June 30 deadline. “The portal ensures complete transparency — right from uploading land details to final approval — and urged landowners to make use of the digital interface rather than approaching intermediaries,” the official added.

Key Corridors Identified in Gurgaon

In Gurgaon, HSVP has identified multiple high-growth corridors for future expansion. Key clusters include Southern Peripheral Road (sectors 76-80), Dwarka Expressway belt (sectors 99A-104), New Gurgaon along NH8 (sectors 82A-86), and the Pataudi-Farrukhnagar stretch (sectors 88A, 89A, 95A, 95B). Together, these regions will require around 24,000 acres for phased development.

Officials said the expansion is needed to meet rising housing demand, support upcoming infrastructure projects, and strengthen long-term urban planning. Over the last two decades, most real estate development in Gurgaon was led by private developers, pushing property prices beyond the reach of many residents.

First Phase Procurement Details

In the first phase, around 17,358 acres across 51 sectors are expected to be procured. Through the land procurement plan for new residential and commercial sectors, HSVP aims to ease pressure on existing urban centres and ensure a steady supply of serviced plots under planned development norms across Haryana.

Earlier, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini approved land procurement under the e-Bhoomi scheme in various urban estates where draft and final development plans have been published. HSVP has directed its estate offices across the state to initiate procurement. A phase-wise schedule has been prepared and approved by the chief administrator of HSVP.
