Haryana Government Establishes Helplines for Cooking Gas Cylinder Complaints
The Haryana government has issued a directive urging consumers to report any instances of delay or denial in the supply of cooking gas cylinders. A government spokesperson announced on Friday that toll-free helplines have been set up to address these concerns promptly.
If any gas agency causes unnecessary delay or refuses to issue a cylinder, consumers should lodge complaints directly on the toll-free helplines of the respective companies, the spokesperson emphasized.
Helpline Numbers for Major Gas Providers
To facilitate easy reporting, the government has provided specific contact details:
- Bharat Gas users can call 1800-22-4344.
- Indane Gas and HP Gas consumers can register complaints at 1800-2333-555.
An official stated, "The companies will investigate complaints and take corrective action to ensure consumers do not face inconvenience." The appeal to citizens is clear: if they encounter any problems in gas distribution, they should immediately contact these helpline numbers to resolve their issues.
Assurance of Normal Supply Amid Regional Tensions
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has assured residents that domestic LPG, petrol, and diesel supply across the state remains "completely normal and uninterrupted." He addressed concerns stemming from regional conflicts, noting, "Rumours are being spread about disruption in domestic LPG gas supply due to war-like situations in West Asia."
To reinforce this assurance, a meeting was held with senior officials from the food, civil supplies, and consumer affairs department, along with representatives of oil companies. During this meeting, oil companies confirmed that "adequate stock" is available in Haryana and that gas supply is being received continuously without interruption.
Prioritization and Streamlining Efforts
The Chief Minister highlighted that in the supply of commercial cylinders, arrangements have been made by giving priority to essential services. "Hospitals, educational institutions, and other essential services are receiving focused attention to ensure their needs are met," he explained.
Oil companies are continuously making efforts to streamline the remaining supply, ensuring that all sectors receive their required allocations efficiently.
Government Vigilance Against Malpractices
In a proactive move, the state government has issued directives to all deputy commissioners and superintendents of police to take immediate action against any form of theft, black marketing, or hoarding. This step aims to prevent exploitation and maintain fair distribution practices.
The CM has appealed to the people of Haryana to avoid panic or stockpiling, emphasizing that the state government is fully vigilant and committed to ensuring uninterrupted supply of domestic gas to every household. Officials reiterated this commitment, assuring that measures are in place to address any potential disruptions swiftly.
This initiative underscores the government's dedication to consumer welfare and efficient resource management, particularly in times of regional uncertainty.
