Hazaribag Women Earn Prestigious Republic Day Invitation for Outstanding Social Contributions

In a proud moment for Jharkhand, two remarkable women from Hazaribag district have been honored with special invitations to attend the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. This recognition highlights their exceptional dedication to community service and healthcare, bringing immense pride to their local communities.

Meena Devi: Two Decades of Dedicated Anganwadi Service

Meena Devi, an anganwadi worker from Darudih village in Daru block, has received this prestigious invitation in acknowledgment of her disciplined and committed service spanning nearly twenty years. Serving at the anganwadi centre in Darudih since 2007, Meena has played a crucial role in effectively implementing various government schemes focused on children, women, and nutrition.

Her responsibilities included:

  • Providing excellent care for young children
  • Ensuring proper nutrition for all beneficiaries
  • Teaching and educating children at the centre

"I always tried to fulfil every responsibility entrusted to me with dedication," Meena shared, expressing her commitment to her work. Her consistent performance previously earned her certificates of appreciation from the district administration in both 2010–11 and 2019.

The achievement has created a wave of happiness across Daru block, with local residents and panchayat representatives describing it as a moment of honor for the entire region. Meena will be accompanied by her husband, Prakash Kushwaha, on her first-ever trip to Delhi.

Rakhi Sinha: Excellence in Affordable Healthcare

Alongside Meena Devi, 23-year-old Rakhi Sinha from Charhi has been selected to attend the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path under the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). Rakhi earned this honor for her outstanding work in running a Jan Aushadhi Kendra, which secured second position in Jharkhand for its exceptional performance.

Her centre was specifically recognized for:

  1. Transparency in operations
  2. Efficient functioning and management
  3. Excellent public service delivery

"The Jan Aushadhi centre not only made me self-reliant but also helped provide affordable healthcare to rural communities," Rakhi explained. "People are getting medicines at prices up to 75% lower than market rates, making healthcare accessible to those who need it most."

Broader Recognition for Jharkhand

This recognition extends beyond these two individuals, as a total of eight Jan Aushadhi Kendra operators from Jharkhand have received special invitations to the Republic Day celebrations. This collective honor underscores the state's commitment to healthcare accessibility and community service excellence.

The invitations to these Hazaribag women represent more than personal achievements—they symbolize the impact of dedicated public service at the grassroots level and demonstrate how individual commitment can bring recognition to entire communities while making tangible differences in people's lives.
