Chairing a medical education department meeting in Shimla, Sukhu confirmed that the policy will comprehensively cover professors, associate professors, and assistant professors.

Recruitment and Infrastructure Plans

To strengthen the state's healthcare delivery and medical education, the government will soon recruit 110 assistant professors and 120 paramedical staff across various medical colleges. The CM also directed officials to identify suitable land to explore the construction of a new, dedicated mother and child hospital within the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla campus.

Massive Investment in Healthcare

The state is executing a massive Rs 3,000-crore investment plan to modernise public hospitals and medical colleges with advanced machinery and equipment.
