Kanpur Administration Intensifies Monitoring to Resolve LPG Supply Complaints
The district administration in Kanpur has ramped up its oversight efforts to address grievances related to LPG gas supply, achieving significant progress in complaint resolution. On a recent Thursday, a total of 252 complaints were registered, out of which 92 were successfully resolved, demonstrating a proactive approach to consumer concerns.
Priority Home Delivery for Registered Bookings
Consumers who had previously registered their bookings were provided with cylinders through priority home delivery services. This measure aimed to ensure timely access to essential fuel for households, particularly in cases where delays had been reported.
District Supply Officer Rakesh Kumar emphasized that the domestic gas supply chain is operating smoothly and appealed to the public to avoid panic booking, which can strain the system unnecessarily. He highlighted specific instances where swift action was taken to rectify issues.
Case Studies: Swift Resolution of Delayed Deliveries
In one notable case, Ram Janaki, a resident of Galla Mandi, had booked a cylinder on March 6 but had not received it. Upon registering a formal complaint, the administration facilitated the delivery of the cylinder directly to her home, ensuring her needs were met promptly.
Similarly, Aafreen from Babu Purwa faced a delay after booking an LPG cylinder on March 5. Her complaint was addressed, and the cylinder was made available through home delivery, mirroring the resolution of many such cases across the district.
Administrative Inspections and Directives
Meanwhile, administrative officers conducted inspections at various gas agencies to review the cylinder supply system. They issued directives to ensure timely distribution and maintain efficiency in the supply chain. These steps are part of a broader strategy to prevent future disruptions and enhance service reliability.

To further assist consumers, the supply officer provided contact details for resolving LPG gas-related problems. Individuals can reach out via:
